Educational work

I currently work as an Associate Lecturer for the Computing department of Sheffield Hallam University. My specialism is in Interaction Design and include interface design techniques such as prototyping, and project management as part of creative development processes. This reflects the growing need for links between visual design and the developers of new technology.

I have also worked as an artist on projects in education, working in both primary and secondary schools. My work in schools is often practical computer based digital work using both sound and image but it has also included developing other practical project work that address particular objectives such as working together cooperatively on a creative piece of work.

I am interested in how (and if) technology in an educational setting can be made both engaging and meaningful activity that supports learning.
