About my commissioned work

I am a visual artist producing work for public commission and exhibition. I am interested in using technology to produce imagery, looking at how it influences our view of the contemporary visual image. I aim to question peoples' perception of photographic records depiction of something that is real.

With commissioned work I often use a process of consultation and involvement of groups that are associated with the place where the work is to be sited. This both helps me to understand the requirements of the particular commission and enables people involved with the place to contribute, understand and feel more confident about the work.

Working with artist Gillian Brent to produce a series of art works for Westfield Secondary School, Sheffield. Westfield is a new build PFI school built by Kier Build and opened in January 2007.
