Westfield School art works

Working with Artist Gillian Brent the commission was to produce a series of artworks for this new build secondary school, built by Kier Build for Sheffield Education authority. The school opened in January 2007.

The Westfield School commission was to create artworks that would enhance the school environment, especially the sports facilities which are also for community use. The works included a series of photographic light boxes, a large acrylic wall piece, vinyl artworks and manifestations and stainless steel wall plaques.

The imagery was developed through working with students in the school around the theme of movement and sport. Installation of the work involved working closely with contractors on site through the site manager.
