Lascaux 977

I’m starting with a blank dark grey Lascaux 977 on Bockingford paper, I haven’t done anything you can see yet. I will be looking into the use of Subject in my practice.

Web, Media and Scope

Today I have been working on the outline for keeping the digital diary and making a link table for linking from Instagram.

I need to think about the Scope and set down what I will be doing.

The proposal

To explore the role of Subject in my painting and printmaking. A question that I have been thinking about in relation to my work for a while. To spend a period of time researching and investigating this. Some of which will be spent on theoretical research and some of it will be through practical exercises. The aim is to see if subject is a necessity in my work, in some form or if it could or should be removed.

I have sorted access to the Sheffield Hallam University Library Catalogue. While it is possible to access it with an associate membership which you can apply for I am still able to use my old login code from when I worked as an Associate.

I have been looking at books available to down load as ebooks to start with. Unfortunately items in the 709.2 range are not online so I might need to look at borrowing some real books.

Uniqlo Tate Lates

Join us for a mix of art, music, film, drop-in workshops and pop-up talks as we explore the work of Steve McQueen and how artists are inspired by the city.

Last year I had the opportunity to work on a project with Bollo Brook Youth Center, London. The work was funded by the Equality Trust.

I am pleased to announce that some of this work will be shown at Uniqlo Tate Lates this month 28 February 2020 at 18.00–22.00 . I will be there during the event.
